Milbemax Allwormer for Cats over 2kg by Milbemax

Unlike some other wormers, Milbemax doesn’t leave a pesticide residue on your pet’s coat – so you won’t have to spend any time apart.
Milbemax is designed to be the easiest way to give broad spectrum protection against internal parasites. With tiny tablets and only one tablet required to treat your cat up to 8kg, worming is less stressful for you and your cat.  One little thing… effectively protects against hookworm, roundworm tapeworm.  Treatment with Milbemax Small Cat is safe for kittens from 6 weeks of age and 500g bodyweight**. And you only have to treat every 3 months for the most common and dangerous worms.

Our cats are often very independent and can be hard to please. This is why Milbemax comes in a tiny beef-flavoured tablet.  Cats like the beef flavour so much, many will take the tablet straight from the hand or in their normal food. It’s also the smallest cat all-wormer available.
Without ongoing treatment, worms pose an unseen risk to your cat and even your family. Worming your cat only kills the parasites at the time of treatment, so it’s important to treat regularly to avoid re-infection.

Worms can be picked up by eating infected soil, meat, rodents or other prey, and even by swallowing infected fleas when grooming. Some worms take only a few weeks to arrive in the intestine, mature and start laying eggs, that’s why your cat needs regular treatment.

Milbemax is a state-of-the-art broad spectrum all-wormer – a tiny tablet that works from the inside to kill internal parasites fast. Milbemax offers your cat and family effective protection from hookworm, roundworm and tapeworm.  Worms can live anywhere in the body, though they prefer the lining of the intestine as it is an ideal place to breed.

Intestinal worms can cause many problems for your cat, including abdominal pain, diarrhoea, bloody stools, tiredness/lack of energy, poor growth and weight loss. They can also weaken your cat’s immune system, making them more vulnerable to other infections.

Protection from hookworm
Hookworm - Hookworm attach themselves to the lining of the small intestine and have a large appetite for blood. This makes them very dangerous for cats, especially kittens, as they can cause severe anaemia or even death. Symptoms of infection include bleeding in the intestine (identified by blood in the stool), abdominal pain, diarrhoea and itchy skin sores. Heavy infections can cause serious anaemia (identified by pale gums and tiredness).

Protection from roundworm
Roundworm - Roundworm are named for their large, round bodies. They live in the small intestine and infestations are very common. The symptoms to look out for in cats include diarrhoea, vomiting, poor growth and tiredness/lack of energy.
Protection from tapeworm
Tapeworm - Symptoms of heavy infection include weight loss, diarrhoea, anal irritation and a poor coat. However, infected cats sometimes show no symptoms at all.

Signs that your cat may have worms:
  • Abdominal pain
  • Diarrhoea
  • Intestinal bleeding (identified by blood in the stool)
  • Tiredness/lack of energy
  • Poor growth
  • Weight loss
  • Vomiting
  • Itchy skin sores
  • Anaemia (identified by pale gums and tiredness)
  • Anal irritation
  • Poor coat
NB: Sometimes cats can have worms and not have symptoms.
Milbemax broad spectrum all-wormer is suitable for all cats. Treatment involves fewer tablets than some other leading brands: 99% of cats can be treated with one tablet or less*. So Milbemax makes it easier to deliver the right dose to your cat or kitten.
Milbemax Small Cat and Kitten Tablets can be used safely** in kittens from 6 weeks of age or 500g in weight.  Milbemax is suitable for breeding and lactating queens**.
Product Type
For the treatment of internal parasites including roundworm, hookworm and tapeworm, in cats.
Milbemycin oxime and praziquantel are the active ingredients in Milbemax®.
Milbemycin oxime interferes with nerve transmission in invertebrates, which helps protect against heartworm, roundworm and hookworm.
Praziquantel causes muscle spasm in tapeworm, which are then attacked by enzymes and disintegrate. It kills all intestinal forms of tapeworm.
Milbemax is a broad spectrum intestinal wormer used in cats to treat roundworm, hookworm and tapeworms. If given monthly, it also offers prevention against heartworm. Milbemax for cats is a tiny, palatable beef-flavoured tablet that many animals will take straight from the hand.
Milbemax protects against immature and adult roundworm (Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina),immature and adult hookworm(Ancylostoma tubaeforme) and tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp).
If given monthly, Milbemax protects cats against all of the above, as well as heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis).
